Facebook launched an official Facebook WordPress Plugin. Since WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms its no surprise Facebook has made a wordpress plug in. The benefit of using the official Facebook plug in is the skill level of the plugin creators.  Not all wordpress plugins are created equal, but this one is crafted by the experts at Facebook and Automatic (WordPress).

This plug in has some extra features I have not seen in other Facebook plug ins.

I have set up a new site and want to automatically send every post I make on my wordpress blog to twitter.  To do this I intalled WP to Twitter wordpress plug in.

This plug in has quite a few features:

• Automatically Post to twitter
• Exclude post categories from being sent to twitter
• Preface posts made to twitter

It was relatively easy to set up, the instructions included with the plug in are very easy to follow.

Having visitor stats is very useful information to have when running a website.  Google analytics provides a great amount off tools to track visitors to your site.  With ninja stats you can view your website stats from within your wordpress admin and it also shows on each page and post (when in edit mode).  This also a blogger to easily and quickly get stat information while working on your site.

To install the plug in, from within WP admin search for Ninja Google Analytics.

If you have a blog there is nothing better then getting the word out about your new posts automatically.  With the wordpress plug in Simple Facebook Connect this is done very easily.

Steps to set it up

1. Install plug in
2. Plug in settings
3. Facebook app

1.  Install the plug in by logging into your wordpress admin, go to plug ins/add new.  Search for “simple facebook connect” and install it.

2.  From within wordpress admin go to settings/Simple Facebook Connect.  The settings page will guide you through the steps required to make a facebook app.  All this does is allow the wordpress blog to communicate with your facebook page and/or fan page
