A while ago I got an android and noticed a friend posting their running stats online.
I searched online for an app for android that would track my running and biking stats automatically for me and have started to use Run Keeper.
My first time using it was pretty simple. The quick start method is to simply hit start and it starts tracking your run. The app can also be set as a coach based on time or distance travelled and let you know when a certain distance or time has passed. It provides real time km per minute, distance traveled and the time of the run. It also tracks the estimated calories burned too.
At the end of my run I hit stop and save, then runkeeper sends the data to runkeeper.com where it is stored (it is also stored on the phone).
There are a bunch of other apps for the runkeeper app that track weight, strength training and more.
It is free to use with the features I have listed. Some extra features are part of a paid membership package.
